One way to grow your business is to avoid making management mistakes.  Management mistakes can be made by businesses big and small which could lead to slow growth and eventually to the demise of the business.

There a number of management mistakes that entrepreneurs are guilty of making.  They include, resisting change; not communicating clearly; being a pal instead of a boss to employees; inconsistent in applying standards; lack of accountability; incorrect matching people to the right jobs; not transitioning from worker to manager/leader; not delegating; not recognizing achievement; being inflexible; not creating clear job descriptions; lack of vision; don't engage in strategic thinking and engaging in micro management.

This is a show that depicts Jon Taffer and his crew of experts trying to save bar owners from losing their bars due to bad management.  The bars get equipped with hidden cameras and under cover customers visit the bar to document the owners and workers in their normal routine.  In return for promising to get rid of their bad behiavior and abide by Jon's recommendations the bars get a make over and a chance at a new start.

Restaurant Impossible:

This show airs on The Food Network on Wednesdays at 10pm EST.

Marcus Lemonis puts over $2,000,000 of his own money on the line to invest in struggling businesses that are in desperate need of cash and his assistance.  In return he takes an equity stake in the company and take over the business for one week and work with the management and staff to identify and fix the problems that is causing the business to fail.  He does anything necessary to save the business even if it includes firing employees.  A great show that depicts what entrepreneurs need to do to turn their businesses around.
