How Do You Get Your Products Into Home Depot:

 

Home Depot:  Home Depot is one of the largest retailer of home improvement and construction products and services.  It has stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam, all 10 Provences of Canada and Mexico and China.  The company is headquartered in Greater Atlanta, GA.

Their product categories include: tools, fasteners, hardware, building materials, electrical, janitorial, appliances, bath, decor, door & windows, flooring, HVAC, kitchen, lighting & ceiling fans, lumber & composites, outdoors, paint, plumbing, seasonal & holiday, storage & organization, etc.


Vendor Program:

Home Depot has two programs, one that lets you sell directly to Home Depot and one that lets you provide services to Home Depot.

 

Sell Directly To Home Depot:

Step 1:

To become a Home Depot supplier and get your products on their shelves you are first required to complete their Insurance Approval Form and Product Submission Form. The Insurance Approval form process can take up to four(4) weeks.  To complete this form you must meet the following requirements:

- Provide basic company information and select the type of vendor you are (Domestic, Import, Out of Reapir, New, Existing, etc.)

-  You are required to have from $2,000,000 to $20,000,000 in insurance coverage.  Provide a certificate of insurance.

-  Send the completed form to the following address or fax it:

If you're approved an approval number will be returned to you.  This number will be required to complete your supplier onboarding process and confirms compliance with the insurance requirements. 

If not approved a detailed list of deficiencies will be provided to you.

Step 2:

Step 2 is the onboarding process.  Once approved after completing Step 1 you will be directed on what to do to complete the onboarding process.

 

Provide A Service To Home Depot:

You can also become a service provider to Home Depot providing installation services.  The process is as follows:          

- Complete the online registration (pay the $10 non-refundable fee)

- After you register you will be asked to login to the application system

- After you completed the registration respond to any inqueries for additional information

- Await feedback from the qualification process

- If you’re selected to move forward in the qualification process you will have to pay a $50.00 non-refundable fee, submit to a background check, provide proof of General Liability, Automobile and Workers Compensation Insurance or waiver
