Rite Aid Rite Aid is the 3rd largest drugstore chain in the US and the largest on the East Coast.  It operates over 2,000 stores.  It is headquartered in East Pennsboro Township, PA. 

 

Product Categories:

Their product categories includes: vitamins, baby products, medicine & health, beauty, first aid, personal care, etc.

 

Vendor Program:

The Rite Aid vendor programs requries you to submit your request which they will respond to within 30 days.  If you're approved you will then be required to meet another set of requirements to complete the process. 

In the first phase you will be required to provide the following information:

- Complete and submit the New Item and Maintenance Forms and the New PrePack Item and Maintenance Forms.  See guidelines for completing the 1st & 2nd Forms.

- Provide basic company information, size, location, distribution points, description of primary business, current retail locations where your product is placed, (Dun & Bradstreet information when requested), letter of indemnification, certificate of insurance, letter of guarantee sale

- the information has to be sent to the designated Category Manager to the following adddress:

Wait two(2) weeks after submitting your application then contact your designated Category Manager by phone for disposition and the appropriate next steps.

The second phase requries you to meet more Rite Aid requirements.  After you've completed the first phase and have been accepted you will be required to meet these new requirements.

- Get setup to communicate with Rite Aid via an EDI system.  (learn more about EDI)

- Be prepared to meet Rite Aid Lead-Time Requirements that can ragne from 60 days to a year in advance.

- Be prepared for Quality Assurance Testing

- Rite Aid expects their vendors to have Industry Knowledge and Integrity.
