Social Security Tax Back to 6.2%

The social security rate which was reduced to 4.2% for 2011 and 2012 is now back to 6.2%.

 Employers now have to start withholding Social Security tax at the 6.2% tax rate.  According to the IRS employers should start  withholding by 15 Febryary and make adjustments in workers pay by the March 31.
