Comment on This SEC Ruling – New Exemption for Small Public Offerings 

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a proposed rule to implement Title IV of the JOBS Act which is intended to increase access to capital for smaller companies.

The SEC’s proposal would build upon Regulation A, which is an existing exemption from registration for small offerings of securities up to $5 million within a 12-month period. 

The updated exemption would enable companies to offer and sell up to $50 million of securities within a 12-month period.
This ruling will impact a large amount of small businesses that want seek to funding.  Businesses that may be affected are invited to make comments regarding the proposed rule.  The deadline to make comments is 24 March 2014.  Visit the comment webpage to make your comments.
