Small
Businesss Personnel Report Proposed Rule |
|
If you’re a small business serving as a Prime Contractor or
Sub-Contractor with the federal government you may have to
provide an annual report to the federal government detailing
compensation paid to employees by sex, race, ethnicity, and
specified job categories as wella s hours worked and the
number of employees.
|
This would impact certain small contractors and
subcontractors with more than 100 employees.
|
The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP)
proposes to amend one of its implementing regulations for
Executive Order 11246, Equal Employment Opportunity, that
would make this reporting a requirement.
|
The OFCCP claims that the collection of this type of
information is critical to
eradicating compensation discrimination.
It would enable
OFCCP to direct its enforcement resources toward entities
for which reported data suggest potential pay violations,
and not toward entities for which there is no evidence of
potential pay violations.
|
This proposed amendment is available for comments which
should be submitted by 6 November 2014.
