Colorado Voted Yes for Minimum Wage Increase

An initiative placed on the 2016 ballot to increase the minimum wage was approved.

Effective January 1, 2017 the minimum wage in Colorado will    start to increase from it's current rate of $8.31 to $12. Over a number of years.

Starting in January 1, 2017 the minim wage will increase by $0.90 annually as follows:

 

 

-$9.30    - 1 January 2017

-$10.20 - 1 January 2018

-$11.10 - 1 January 2019

-$12.00 - 1 January 2020

After January 2020 annual increases will be based on the cost of living adjustments.
