How do you decide which wide format printing option is the best for your needs?  You can narrow your choice down by answering a couple of questions:

- What is the width of the items you want to print?
You can create prints with widths from 24, 36, 44, 60,64, etc.

- Will it be used indoors or outdoors?
Indoor prints don't have to be laminated or protected from the elements.

- How quickly do you have to produce these items?
Printers can print at various speeds.  For example, 93 sq ft per hour or 110 sq ft per hour, or faster.

- Do you need a cutter on the machine?
Having a cutter on the machine will save you the trouble of having to cut it manually and risking the possibility to damage the material.

- How much can you afford to pay to own one?
Your budget will ultimately have the greatest weight on helping you decide which one to buy.

Note:  when purchasing a wide format printer from an overseas supplier ensure that the printer is UL certified or some equivalent.  Many overseas manufacturers do not subject their equipment to the UL certification.  UL certification is critical if you're going to use the equipment in the U.S.  Many municipalities will not allow the printer to be placed in operation if it does not have the UL certification.  UL certification is a safety certification performed on all electronic equipment according to OSHA standards.
