This is an actual physical location where your mail is dropped off and you can go there and retrieve your mail.

Virtual Mailbox:

This is a location that receives your mail for you, scan it and upload it to a virtual location where you can access it over the Internet. You can then decide whether to discard, hold or have your mail forward to you.

Physical Mailbox and Virtual Mailbox:
Some sites provide both Physical Mailbox and Virtual Mailbox service. With this type of service you have your mail scanned and emailed to your as well as get the physical hard copy in your mailbox.
