Defining of Guerrilla Marketing

Guerrilla marketing is a term used to describe unconventional marketing tactics, particularly those of low-cost or no-cost.  It involves taking some traditional advertising methods and applying them in an unconventional way.

For example, giving out your business cards to potential clients at a social or business gathering is a traditional way of letting others know about your business.  Now take the same business card and attach a discount coupon or a free mouse pad to it and pay a group of people to dress in an attention getting manner and stand at the street corners in a downtown area during rush hour and hand them out to people. Now, you've got some guerrilla marketing going on.
