What Is A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business

A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business is a business that is 51% or more owned by a Service Disabled Veteran.

What Are The Benefits Of A SDV Certification

Preferential contracting opportunities is one of the benefits offered to certified Service Disabled Veteran owned businesses.  Utilize the resources below to  learn more about those opportunities.

The Veterans Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development Act of 1999 set an annual government-wide goal of 3 percent of the total value of all prime contract and subcontract awards for each fiscal year for small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans.  Benefits include short lead time to award the contract and less competition for contracts.  Your business can be awarded a contract as a Prime Contractor or Subcontractor.

Getting SDV Certified

To take advantage of your Service Disabled Veteran status you must get certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business.  Certification is mainly a federal government program.  However, some States do have their own SDV programs.
